Victoriaberg

The Queen’s wine

The wineyard owes his majestic name to the interest of the English Queen for the fabolous wines of the Rheingau region. Her Royal Highness Queen Victoria and her german husband Prince Albert visited Hochheim in 1845 to lift the secret of the “hock” Top –Wines as they were called in english these days.

Together with the traditional label the wine from this site proclaimes this special “wine-historical” event until today. The crest of the queen of England adorns the historic label until today and proclaims the special favor.
